The Transitional Living
Programs at New Beginnings help
young people achieve
self-sufficiency by
acquiring
independent living
skills and

Youth are served
throughout the three
phases of the
Transitional Living
Programs (group home
living, day
treatment classes,
and off campus
independent living).

New Beginnings
provides highly
individual care for
each youth entering
the group home phase
of the transitional
Living Programs.
An in-depth
assessment, which
considers the youth's
particular strengths
and challenges, is
conducted upon
placement and serves
as the guide for
creation of the
individualized
treatment plan.
Highly trained staff
work to prepare
resident for the
transition to
independent living. |

Services Provided:
- This
phase included
subsidized
apartments in the
community.
Apartments
are located in the
City of St.
Louis. Regular
contact in person or
via telephone with
Care Managers is a
requirement of the
program during all
phases. Care
Managers are
available to youth
24 hours per day, 7
days a week.
Youth continue to
receive case
management,
individual and
family therapy and
decision making and
life skills training
as necessary.
